01 / DALI bus systems

Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) provides a two-wire communication method for compatible control gear and control devices. A project can use addressing, grouping and scenes when its equipment and controller support the required functions. Start with your proposed topology and confirm the bus-power budget and equipment limits.

02 / Interface conversion

Where an installation combines DALI with 0–10V or phase-cut control, select an interface for the precise direction of conversion. DALI-to-0–10V and 0–10V-to-DALI are different functions: verify the intended input/output, current limits and supported control modes against the exact product datasheet.

03 / Sensing and control

Presence and daylight sensors can enable responsive operation where supported by the application controller and luminaire. Evaluate mounting height, field of view, environmental protection and the operating environment when planning sensor positions.

04 / Integration workflow
